So this kid loves his PlayStation2, right? Well, after a weekend of accumulating $177 of damages in the house and other misbehavior, this dad decides it's time to sell the prized PS2 on ebay.
You can view the original auction here, but eBay eventually takes old auctions down, so I saved a copy of the auction page here. For some reason, this seems like something mom and dad might have done back in the day... they threatened to take away our Atari a few times, anyway. And, of course, this reminded me of the Wedding Dress auction. Don't know if you ever saw that, but the item listing is still on eBay here and I've saved a copy of it here. The Wedding Dress auction is the funniest eBay auction I've ever seen. Labels: life Friday, June 04, 2004
Pat had a great link on his site (thehannons.net) to a site that tracks the usage of "coke", "pop", or "soda"... check out the great map of county by county data, and you can also enter your preference on their site at www.popvssoda.com. Great stuff!
And if you're really into this type of thing, there's a link there to a Dialect Survey developed by some Harvard professors that has a lot of different pronunciation and term comparisons. Labels: life I know you've been waiting for it, well here they are... April and May pictures are up.
It's amazing how fast Jeremiah is growing. He was almost 14 pounds at his last appointment a couple of weeks ago, and he has to be about 15 pounds now. We're about to move him to size 3 diapers as soon as the size 2 run out. The diapers McKenna is wearing at night are size 4 (though she's ready to move up as well). And he's not fat, as you can tell in the pictures, he's just a growing boy! He's gotten very smiley in the past couple of weeks. McKenna really enjoys it when she can get him to smile. She's definitely grown into the "big sister" role, and is also becoming very interested in "helping" Amy mop the floor (half a swiffer mop with a paper towel on the bottom) and putting dishes away from the dishwasher.
